Why GPS trackers?
How many times do we hear on the news about people, young and old, who go missing, and rescue missions being set up to bring home safely the person who wandered and got lost?
We are very aware of the problem faced by people with Dementia and their carers. When you live with Dementia you can just forget where you are and who you’re with, and you can easily pop out or lose your carer without realising it nor meaning it. It’s no one’s fault, but it does happen, more often than we think, and these moments can be very stressful for both the person who got lost and their families.
Giving peace of mind to anyone who may get lost
This is why we've decided to offer GPS personal tracking devices, supported by 24/7 365 geo tracking and contact to a live emergency call response centre managed by Torbay and Southern Devon Health and Care NHS Trust. Should a user go missing, the recovery process has been created in conjunction with the police and emergency responders. Privacy for the user is maintained as their location is only checked at time of an emergency alert and then only by the trained NHS tele care team. We believe this gives users greater independence and continued privacy, and carers, peace of mind. If you live with Dementia (Alzheimer's, Lewy bodies, etc.) or are in the process of being diagnosed, or if you are a registered carer, we give you the tracker free, you will pay only a set monthly monitoring fee.
GPS devices are suitable for anyone who wants to know that help can be at hand, at the touch of a button. Whether you are a lone worker, you live alone (students and elderly alike) or travel alone, or you’re a carer or someone living with a condition like Dementia who may wander and get lost… a tracking device can give you some serenity.
