Setting up the tracker
Each Tracker has a unique number, just like a mobile phone, and the IME number and sim card is what is used to register the tracker to each individual user.
When your tracker is delivered we will know, and will contact you. You'll be able to communicate with us through the device or via a landline or mobile phone. We'll take details of your next of kin, carers, and medical info you may care to share if a situation arose where such information would be of help in an emergency. We can also help to set geo fence areas that suit you, areas that you can be in without anyone worrying, and where you feel safe. This tracker is to help you remain independent, it's not a prison tag!
Nothing for you to do but relax
Once we have the above info set up, we'll ask you to fully charge the unit. Once it's fully charged we will be able to see the device anywhere in the UK or in the world if you have elected to be covered world wide. Don't worry about remembering to charge the battery, the unit will alert if it runs low and we will alert your nominated next of kin or carer to pop it on charge.
SOS button
When you push the SOS button you will be connected to our SOS centre, we'll get an alert on our screens and we will contact your next of kin. We can send them a text to a smartphone that they can answer and see your exact location or we will just phone them, whatever you have decided when we set the details up. If for any reason they don't reply, we will alert the emergency services.
Missing person
In the event a carer or next of kin realising the user has gone missing, when a geo area is not in use, they may either call our control centre direct, and we will assist them immediately by locating the user on our screens, or they may, with prior arrangement, log in on line and see the users position for themselves. Whatever the action the carer or next of kin wish us to take we will adhere to.
The tracker comes with emergency cards to be given to family and carers that contain the unique user number of the tracker and the emergency phone number to call in the event of a missing person alert.
