How much does the Ostrich GPS Tracker cost?
The tracker is **FREE of charge to anyone with any form of Dementia or in the process of diagnosis.
No intrusive questions or checks will be made, you will simply be asked to confirm this at ordering and will be automatically registered as an Ostrich user.
Monitoring Costs
The monitoring cost for the tracker is an annual subscription of £198 plus VAT* - if applicable see VAT exemption statement. You will only need to pay for four months monitoring costs in advance when ordering. We will contact you after delivery to arrange either a monthly direct debit, pay pal auto pay, or for you to pay the remaining months by cheque.
Monitoring gives unlimited tracking support, as needed, plus the comfort of 24/7 365 specialist monitoring by Torbay and Southern Devon Health and Care NHS who are an accredited Telecare centre just a phone call away. The centre monitors all Ostrich GPS trackers right across the UK.
Safety of your data
The Ostrich GPS system does NOT enable anyone but the specialist monitoring teams to access the secure area and locate the users whereabouts on screen, and then only when the caller has provided a unique number to verify their relationship to the user, or if the emergency responders request access.
This provides continued privacy for the Ostrich GPS tracker user until such time as a specific alert may be created.
Range of the tracker
Monitoring of the tracker is across the UK and throughout Europe. International travel is also covered by the tracker.
Please always contact the monitoring centre before travelling outside of Europe to ensure arrangements are able to be put in place for your tracker in the country you intend to visit. Some exclusions may apply.
Delivery
Delivery is £9.99. Your tracker will be delivered by The Royal Mail and is, of course, tracked and signed for upon delivery.
